D-Day veterans emotional as they return to Normandy for eightieth commemorations
Some of the final surviving veterans of the D-Day landings have arrived in France for the eightieth anniversary commemorations.
Four of the veterans returned to Sword Beach, one of many touchdown areas for the invasion, evoking emotional recollections of the comrades they misplaced.
The D-Day landings have been the most important navy naval, air and land operation ever tried and signalled the start of the tip of World War II.
