Chief secretary to the treasury, Darren Jones, has reiterated that Labour won’t tax working folks and the federal government intends to "stimulate the economy".
He mentioned they have been all "very clear in the election that we will not be raising income tax, national insurance, or VAT in this parliament".
"It’s a promise we’re going to keep," he added.
He confirmed that Labour’s first funds can be within the autumn, the place "all the relevant detail" on tax and spend can be set out.
