Chief secretary to the treasury, Darren Jones, has reiterated that Labour is not going to tax working individuals and the federal government intends to "stimulate the economy".
He stated they had been all "very clear in the election that we will not be raising income tax, national insurance, or VAT in this parliament".
"It’s a promise we’re going to keep," he added.
He confirmed that Labour’s first finances shall be within the autumn, the place "all the relevant detail" on tax and spend shall be set out.
