Plymouth’s historic Drake’s Island again on sale with plans for a resort

A six-acre island off the coast of Devon, which was purchased for £6m 5 years in the past, is again on sale.

Drake’s Island is called after Sir Francis himself, who set sail from there in 1577. It was utilized by the navy till World War Two – defending towards French and Spanish invasion.

The website comes with a collection of barracks, underground tunnels and fortified buildings, with planning permission for a 43-bedroom luxurious resort.
