Ukraine ‘taken 100 Russian prisoners of battle and hopeful of a swap quickly’ – Ukrainian MP

Ukraine says it has taken "around 100 prisoners of war" following its incursion into Russian territory, and yesterday its military "gained several extra kilometres."

Speaking to Sky News, Ukrainian MP for Kharkiv, Maria Mezentseva mentioned its Russian prisoners had been being stored in compliance with worldwide humanitarian regulation, claiming the Russians weren’t doing the identical and had "taken civilians".

She expressed her hope the following prisoner swap could be "organised soon" and reiterated the necessity for Western allies to assist provide long-range artillery.
