The UK authorities has introduced a public inquiry into the homicide of Belfast lawyer Pat Finucane, who was shot useless by loyalist terrorists in 1989.
Pat Finucane was an efficient defence solicitor who represented IRA members and loyalists accused of terrorist offences.
A courtroom beforehand dominated there was a failure to carry an "effective investigation" into his homicide by the hands of loyalist paramilitaries.
