Current managing director of Harrods, Michael Ward, has launched a press release expressing his "horror" at allegations in opposition to the previous proprietor of Harrods Mohamed al Fayed.
In a written assertion, Mr Ward apologised and stated the enterprise "failed our colleagues".
Five girls have alleged they have been raped by Fayed, who died final yr on the age of 94, with a number of others alleging sexual misconduct.
