A seven-year-old boy died on the scene after an explosion in a residential avenue in Newcastle.
Superintendent Darren Adams of Northumbria Police stated six others had been taken to hospital after the blast and subsequent fireplace in Violet Close.
Others had been evacuated from their properties after emergency providers had been referred to as to the scene shortly earlier than 1am in the present day.
