A Private Notice Question is held within the House of Lords over a choice by the CPS to acquit a Metropolitan Police firearms officer accused of the homicide of Chris Kaba.
Ministers have burdened that the choice by the Crown Prosecution Service "must be respected".
But former Met commissioner Lord Hogan-Howe has been granted a Private Notice Question (PNQ) to debate the case at round 3.15pm as we speak.
The query will likely be: "To ask HMG, following the acquittal of a police officer charged with murder in the case of Chris Kaba, what steps they plan to take to review the legal position of firearms officers."
