Nigel Farage slams Labour and Conservatives over internet migration and asylum system value

Reform UK chief Nigel Farage has criticised the Tories and Labour over figures on internet migration to the UK, in addition to the information that the price of the asylum system rose to £5.38bn.

Net migration to the UK fell by 20% in a 12 months – from 906,000 within the 12 months to June 2023 to 728,000 within the 12 months to June 2024.

But he says these figures are nonetheless too excessive and does not assume the Tories will probably be "forgiven" within the coming years.
