Broadcaster Dame Esther Rantzen has instructed Sky News that she thinks Sir Keir Starmer has "behaved admirably" over the talk on assisted dying.
Speaking to Sky’s Sophy Ridge, Dame Esther mentioned she was "absolutely thrilled" after MPs voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill at its second studying within the House of Commons by a majority of 55.
The assisted dying campaigner added that she was "lost in awe and admiration" for Kim Leadbeater – the Labour MP who put ahead the laws as a non-public member’s invoice.
