Defence ministers are being requested an Urgent Question on the federal government’s Chagos negotiations.
It comes amid considerations that the incoming Trump administration is against the settlement that may see sovereignty of the Chagos Islands transferred to Mauritius, with a 99-year lease for the navy base on Diego Garcia, as a consequence of potential Chinese affect within the area.
Following this assertion we expect the Home Secretary to make an announcement on internet migration and border safety.
