‘They backtracked’: Waspi girl criticises authorities’s ‘betrayal’ after refusing compensation

The authorities revealed it might not be compensating tens of millions of ladies born within the Fifties – generally known as Waspi girls – who say they weren’t given ample warning of the state pension age for ladies being lifted from 60 to 65.

Sky News spoke to Waspi campaigner Christine Cottingham who stated the federal government was supportive of compensating the group earlier than they had been elected, however now, "they’ve backtracked".
