Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer faces Conservative chief Kemi Badenoch at PMQs within the House of Commons. It comes shortly after Chancellor Rachel Reeves delivered a serious speech on progress, together with the growth of Heathrow Airport.
Ms Badenoch factors out the chancellor objected to airport growth in her Leeds constituency again in 2020 – she then asks Sir Keir to drop the Employment Rights Bill.
Her argument is: "You can’t tax your way to growth, you can’t borrow your way to growth. Wealth creators are fleeing Britain in droves."
The PM replied saying: "They broke the economy, completely destroyed it; they broke the health service, ruined us on prisons, and everything else you could mention. They’re in no position to give us lectures on anything."
