Building security minister Alex Norris speaks with Sky’s Wilfred Frost in regards to the authorities’s newest announcement to allocate an anticipated £350m for housebuilding – the overwhelming majority for reasonably priced houses.
The minister mentioned they’re "really excited" in regards to the funding for the Affordable Homes Programme that has been "very strongly subscribed to", with native authorities and housing suppliers "desperate" to be a part of it.
"So we’re putting more money into it now that will build more houses, mostly social rent, so that people can access it and get good homes," he mentioned.
