Munich automobile ramming a ‘suspected assault’ – as police say driver was Afghan asylum seeker

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has condemned the incident in Munich as a "terrible attack" after at the very least 28 folks had been injured when a automobile drove right into a crowd of individuals.

Police say the suspect is a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker.

The suspect "must be punished and must leave the country", Mr Scholz added.
