Following Keir Starmer’s assembly with Donald Trump, Health Secretary Wes Streeting says this was "absolutely crucial" as talks of a commerce deal between the US and UK ramp up.
When requested by Sky’s Anna Jones whether or not America will get entry to the NHS, Mr Streeting says, "the NHS is not up for grabs, and it’s not on the table in the context of trade." however there are areas the UK and US can work collectively and "deepen the trading relationship".
But Mr Streeting says regardless of the "enthusiasm" seen by Trump for a commerce deal, there are nonetheless "hard yards" forward.
