Aviation, maritime, and safety minister Mike Kane has been addressing MPs within the Commons.
In a press release he stated: "Modelling suggests that should the Solong remain afloat, it will remain clear of land for the next few hours. The assessments of His Majesty’s Coastguard is, however, that it is unlikely the vessel will remain afloat."
