Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams blasted off to the ISS on 5 June, and have been meant to be up there for simply eight days.
They have been testing out Boeing’s long-awaited Starliner, a ship designed to rival SpaceX’s Crew Dragon that’s presently used to ferry astronauts into house.
But by the point they docked on the ISS, the Starliner had suffered main issues – with 5 helium leaks, 5 useless manoeuvring thrusters and a propellant valve that failed to shut fully.
It returned to Earth with out them, after it was determined the astronauts can be safer ready in orbit.
