Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams blasted off to the ISS on 5 June, and had been meant to be up there for simply eight days.
They had been testing out Boeing’s long-awaited Starliner, a ship designed to rival SpaceX’s Crew Dragon that’s at present used to ferry astronauts into house.
But by the point they docked on the ISS, the Starliner had suffered main issues – with 5 helium leaks, 5 lifeless manoeuvring thrusters and a propellant valve that failed to shut fully.
It returned to Earth with out them, after it was determined the astronauts could be safer ready in orbit.
