Andrew travels north on El Camino Real to uncover the route of America’s usually untold first revolution. Along the way in which, he shares meals with those that carry the enduring Pueblo spirit and explores meals formed by this early rebellion. Andrew meets up with Cebastian Rose and Robin Moore who share their foraging experience to craft a meal of pre-contact meals that sustained our first peoples. The trio plucks hidden buffalo gourds from the bottom and snacks on candy and fruity honey locust pods alongside the way in which. While buffalo gourd flesh is toxic, the women present Andrew tips on how to benefit from the seeds worry-free. The pièce de résistance is an expertly flavorful mixture of untamed temprie beans with acorn mush cake, served with wild plum and prickly pear salsa and buffalo seed crema.
