Footage launched by an IDF spokesperson reveals Edan Alexander’s mom, Yael Alexander, speaking to her son on the cellphone for the primary time following his launch from Hamas custody after being held hostage for 584 days.
Alexander is believed to have been the final dwelling American held hostage by Hamas.
Alexander, a New Jersey native, moved to Israel on the age of 18. He was serving within the IDF when he was captured from a navy outpost near the Gaza frontier throughout Hamas’ Oct. 7 assault. The now 21-year-old was 19 when he was kidnapped.
