Former Sinn Fein chief Gerry Adams reacts after successful BBC defamation case
Former Sinn Fein chief Gerry Adams has received his defamation motion in opposition to the BBC on the High Court in Dublin.
The 76-year-old has been awarded 100,000 euros in damages.
Adams claimed a BBC Spotlight programme and a web based article printed in 2016 defamed him by falsely accusing him of sanctioning the homicide of British informant Denis Donaldson
