The UK-US commerce deal has been signed and is "done", President Donald Trump mentioned as he met Sir Keir Starmer on the G7 summit.
The US chief instructed reporters in Canada: "We signed it, and it’s done. It’s a fair deal for both. It’ll produce a lot of jobs, a lot of income."
Trump added that the UK was "very well protected" in opposition to any future tariffs, saying: "You know why? Because I like them".
