NYC comptroller and mayoral candidate arrested at an immigration court docket
Brad Lander, the New York City comptroller and a candidate for mayor, was arrested for allegedly assaulting legislation enforcement and impeding a federal officer whereas at an immigration court docket Tuesday, in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security.
Lander, a Democrat, was escorting a defendant out of immigration court docket in Manhattan on Tuesday when he was "taken by masked agents and detained" by ICE, a marketing campaign spokesperson mentioned in an announcement.
