Karen Read, the Massachusetts lady accused of drunkenly placing her off-duty police officer boyfriend and leaving him to die in January 2022, was acquitted of essentially the most critical cost of second-degree homicide. She was discovered responsible on a lesser cost of drunk driving. Read was sentenced to one-year probation and won’t serve any jail time.
