‘All my financial savings went’, says husband of former post-mistress accused of embezzlement

A damning report into the defective Post Office IT system Capture has been unearthed after practically 30 years.

Sky’s Jayne Secker spoke to Ken Tooby, whose spouse, June, a former sub-postmistress was taken to courtroom in 2002 for embezzlement towards the Post Office and needed to pay out nearly £90,000.

Ken spoke in regards to the impact the scandal had on their lives saying: ‘We borrowed cash from our family…we could not go anyplace…it was terrible."
