Supermarkets being advised to chop customers’ energy shouldn’t be ‘nanny statism’, says Streeting

The well being secretary has advised Sky News he believes the federal government’s plan to deal with weight problems by introducing a well being meals commonplace for supermarkets is a "world-first approach" and never "nanny statism".

Speaking on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips, Wes Streeting stated the initiative will goal to "reduce the amount of unhealthy food in trolleys" – and retailers failing to hit their targets may face monetary penalties.

The scheme is a part of the forthcoming 10-Year Health Plan, by which the federal government is looking for to shift from illness to prevention to alleviate the burden on the NHS.
