Immigration enforcement swarms LA park

Dozens of federal immigration brokers in tactical gear accompanied by members of the California National Guard had been deployed Monday to a largely empty MacArthur Park in Los Angeles Monday morning. It’s unclear if anybody was taken into custody through the operation, which sparked outrage amongst native residents and which Mayor Karen Bass known as “outrageous” and “an attempt to spread fear.” An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson advised CNN the company doesn’t touch upon ongoing operations.
