Attorney General Pam Bondi goes to Alcatraz on Thursday to obtain a briefing on the power.
Bondi and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum will tour the jail and surrounding island, focus on services with Park Police and direct workers to collaborate on obligatory planning to reopen the power, based on a Justice Department official.
President Donald Trump introduced on May 5 that he was ordering federal businesses to rebuild and reopen the infamous most safety jail. Alcatraz closed greater than 60 years in the past, partially as a result of it was thought-about too costly to take care of.
