Akingbola units program report with 11 blocks as George Washington beats Navy in OT

Garrett Johnson and James Bishop every scored 18 factors, and Babatunde Akingbola set a program report with 11 blocks to assist George Washington beat Navy 79-77 in additional time on Tuesday evening.

Johnson added 11 rebounds for the Revolutionaries (7-2). Bishop was 5 for 10 from the sphere (2 for six from 3-point vary) and 6 of 9 from the free throw line. Darren Buchanan Jr. had 14 factors and shot 4 of 9 from the sphere and 6 for 14 from the road.

Akingbola’s 11 blocks broke a George Washington report that had stood since 1976. Akingbola set the report with 24.2 seconds left in additional time to maintain it at 76-72.



The Midshipmen (2-5) have been led by Austin Benigni, who posted 21 factors and 7 assists. Donovan Draper added 19 factors and 16 rebounds for Navy. Austin Inge additionally had 13 factors and two steals.
