Sky News understands the title of the prisoner launched in error is Brahim Kaddour-Cherif.
The 24-year-old Algerian man was wrongfully launched from HMP Wandsworth.
He was serving time for trespass with the intent to steal, and in addition has earlier convictions for intercourse offences.
