An undocumented mom fled violence in Mexico. Now she fears being separated from her children.
When her husband left for work one morning in early September, a mom of three by no means imagined he would not come again house that day. They’re each undocumented immigrants. The lady, who did not need to be recognized, says they got here to the U.S. from Mexico after fleeing cartel violence that left her fearing for her life and their kids’s security. After 18 years of residing within the U.S., her husband — who she claims has no legal file — was detained by immigration authorities and deported on Sept. 25, 2025. Now, she’s left behind — struggling to carry their household collectively — and going through an unimaginable alternative: return to the hazard from the previous or elevate her kids alone in a rustic she not sees as a secure haven. The Department of Homeland Security instructed CBS News the undocumented father had "full due process," including that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement "does not separate families. Parents are asked if they want to be removed with their children or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. This is consistent with past administration’s immigration enforcement."
