The US State Department launched a pared-down model of its annual report meant to catalogue human rights issues in international locations world wide. There have been notable adjustments between the earlier report launched April 2024 – overlaying 2023 – and the one launched Tuesday. For international locations whose leaders are political allies of the Trump administration, like El Salvador, there was far much less criticism and element about studies of their human rights abuses.
