The variety of asylum seekers being housed in lodges throughout the UK has dropped to the bottom degree for 18 months, new information reveals.
At the tip of 2025, there have been 30,657 folks searching for asylum being housed in lodges, down from a peak of 56,018 beneath the earlier Tory authorities on the finish of September 2023, Home Office figures reveal.
However, that’s barely increased than when Labour took workplace, when there have been 29,561 folks in government-funded lodge housing.
