After greater than 22 months at Mayo Clinic Children’s, 13-year-old Ava Weitl went residence to Iowa. She and her household have been met with tears and cheers as dozens of members from her care group, who are actually thought of buddies of the household, stated goodbye and wished her effectively.
This was a day Ava had been wanting ahead to after an extended journey with coronary heart failure, two lifesaving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapies, a coronary heart transplant, kidney failure and a kidney transplant.
