Avalanche At Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured
RENO, Nev. (AP) — An avalanche roared by means of a piece of professional trails at a California ski resort close to Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, killing one individual and injuring one other, as a significant storm with snow and gusty winds moved into the area, authorities stated.
The avalanche prompted Palisades Tahoe to shut half-hour after it opened, and search crews combed the realm to see if anybody was injured or trapped.
Sgt. David Smith, a spokesperson for the Placer County sheriff, stated hours later that one individual, a male, died and one other individual sustained non-life-threatening accidents. He stated no one else was lacking.
