Ksenia Karelina, 34, who was jailed over a £40 donation to a charity that gives assist to Ukraine, has been launched as a part of a prisoner swap cope with the US.
The US-Russian citizen was accused of treason when she was arrested in Yekaterinburg, in southwestern Russia, in February.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned Ms Karelina "was wrongfully detained by Russia for over a year," and mentioned "President Trump secured her release" and "will continue to work for the release of ALL Americans".
