Rescuers are racing towards time to free a whale stranded in shallow waters off the north German coast.
The 32ft humpback whale has been caught for days in shallow waters off the Baltic coast in northern Germany, with rescuers failing thus far in efforts to free it.
Sven Biertumpfel is concerned within the rescue effort and says the whale’s situation is ‘deteriorating by the hour.’
