Live from outdoors the American Hospital in Beirut. Lebanese state media and safety officers say dozens of individuals have been injured in Beirut’s suburbs after their handheld pagers exploded.

Dozens of members of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah have been significantly wounded after pagers they use to speak exploded, safety officers say.

A Hezbollah official, talking on situation of anonymity, instructed Reuters information company the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group has confronted in almost a yr of struggle with Israel.
