Bethenny said in a Jan. 22 Instagram post, "Months ago, I decided that I was going to be very proactive about blood tests, bone density—all the things I had heard people talking about and I started to take a series of blood tests. And each time my kidney function was coming up low.” The 55-year-old explained that because of the pattern, she reluctantly made an appointment with a kidney specialist. During the visit, she was presented with her diagnosis and shared that it was potentially an issue she’d “have to deal with forever.” The Skinnygirl founder ended the video message by encouraging her followers to take their well being severely, saying, "I simply needed to inform you as a result of [I] suppose it is necessary to go get all of your blood work finished, all of it.
