The common annual power invoice will fall by 7% in April, Ofgem has introduced.
The drop had been predicted by main forecasters Cornwall Insight, following authorities intervention to scale back payments.
Between April and June, the standard annual twin gasoline invoice will fall to £1,641 – down from the present £1,758 cap.
