BREAKING: Email to BBC workers says ‘there is no such thing as a foundation’ for defamation case

The BBC says it’s "determined to fight" after Donald Trump confirmed he plans to sue the broadcaster over the modifying of his speech in a Panorama information programme.

In an e-mail to workers, BBC bosses stated there’s "no basis" for a defamation case introduced by the US president after the broadcaster edited a speech he made on the day of the US Capitol riots.
