The son of Iran’s former supreme chief has been named as his substitute, based on state media.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed within the preliminary US-Israeli strikes on Iran on Saturday.
His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is a 56-year-old cleric who has by no means held authorities workplace.
Israel has warned it would kill any successor to Khamenei.
