Donald Trump has introduced he’ll droop his threatened motion in opposition to Iran if Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz instantly.
The US president mentioned he had obtained a "workable" 10-point proposal from Iran and had agreed a two-week ceasefire.
Iran has not responded to the announcement.
Trump had warned he would assault Iran if the Strait was not opened by 1am Wednesday UK BST.
