Donald Trump shouted at Volodymyr Zelenskyy because the much-anticipated assembly between the 2 leaders descended into anger and acrimony.

The US president accused his Ukrainian counterpart of being "disrespectful" and warned him he was "gambling with World War Three".

Mr Zelenskyy at one level mimicked Trump, whereas vice-president JD Vance joined within the assault on the Ukrainian chief.
