The Ministry of Defence has launched {a photograph} of Lance Corporal George Hooley, who died in a "tragic accident" in Ukraine on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old British paratrooper was observing Ukrainian forces testing a brand new defensive functionality, away from the frontline, the MoD stated.
Hooley joined the military in November 2015 and was regarded by the defence ministry as "an exceptional soldier and an impressive junior leader with extensive operational experience".
