Joy (Elizabeth Banks) leads an ordinary life with her husband and daughter. While Chicago and the country are on the verge of political turmoil in 1968, Joy must navigate an all-male medical institution unwilling to abort her pregnancy in order to save her life when her pregnancy causes a life-threatening heart condition. Her search for a solution leads her to Virginia (Sigourney Weaver), an independent thinker fiercely committed to women’s health, and Gwen (Wunmi Mosaku), an activist who dreams of a day when all women, regardless of their capacity to pay, will have access to abortion. Joy is so moved by their work that she chooses to join forces with them, putting her entire, quaint, life on the line. Only in theaters on October 28th, 2022!
