A teenage boy was sentenced to seven years’ custody in June after being convicted of the manslaughter of 80-year-old Bhim Kohli, who died after being attacked in a park close to Leicester.

The Solicitor General has referred the sentence to the Court of Appeal underneath the unduly lenient sentence scheme.
