This week, CDC Director Susan Monarez was ousted from her place after clashing with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy over vaccine coverage and her refusal to fireplace a number of veteran CDC leaders, based on individuals aware of the scenario. Her removing was adopted by the resignations of a number of senior leaders.
Late this week, Kennedy stated Deputy HHS Secretary Jim O’Neill will function appearing director of the CDC. “Our agency is crumbling,” a supply inside the CDC, who isn’t allowed to talk to the media and didn’t need to be recognized for worry of retribution, instructed CNN after Monarez’s departure.
